We have spent over two years researching, considering and selecting our gear. Gear choices are very difficult in some cases and you must weigh many things including (but not limited to): weight, comfort, physical size, cost, number of people using it, and material. Hammock, Tarp or Tent? Should the sleeping bag be down or synthetic or even just a quilt? White-gas stove, propane or Coke/Pepsi-can Alcohol stove? If there are options, there will be people who will swear by their choices. We have no real complaints about our current lists and no intention to argue!
